    • 1). Click the Windows "Start" menu, click the "Control Panel," and then click the "System and Maintenance" option.

    • 2). Click "System" and click "Remote Settings." Click "Remote Connection" and select the connection option you want to use under "Remote Desktop."

    • 3). Click the "Select Users" button and type your administrator password if Windows asks for it. Click "Add" in the "Remote Desktop Users dialog box and click "Locations" in the "Select Users or Groups" dialog box. Specify your search location.

    • 4). Type the name of the user that you want to add in the "Enter the object names to select," and then click "OK." The name will be displayed in the list of users in the Remote Desktop Users dialog box. Click "Save" to save the changes.

    • 5). Click the Windows "Start" menu, select "All Programs," select "Accessories," and then click "Remote Desktop Connection" to launch the Remote Desktop Connection.

    • 6). Click the "Options" menu if you want to change your connection settings. Select each of the following tabs individually and make the changes you want in each tab: "Display," "Local Resources," "Programs," "Experience," and "Advanced." Click "Save" on the "General" tab to save the settings for future connections.
